Seta in the Media

In the latest edition of Revista AG - Revista do Criador, a cover story “Intelligent and conscious nutrition”, brings in its context the importance of natural alternatives in livestock, highlighting Seta's performance in the animal nutrition segment.

With challenging production costs, nutrition has a prominent place in planning and occupation in the daily work with cattle. The rancher became more attentive to food strategies with the use of natural products, making the performance and participation of the business.

To prove the beneficial effects of natural additives, the article in the Magazine brought the testimony of the Doctor in Animal Science and Technical Salesperson in Animal Nutrition at Seta, Danielle Brutti, who developed her thesis with Tannins in bovine nutrition.

“My work showed that some time ago, tannins came to be seen as villains in cattle nutrition, because they have astringency – a factor that could restrict the animals' consumption. But our results proved that, rather than problems, tannins can bring benefits, which occur in different aspects of production”, said Dr.

According to Danielle's statement, "We assume that it is important to know the source, which plant this tannin came from, as there may be a higher or lower concentration of polyphenols in these plants, which can influence the final dosage of the product."

Developing research for over 20 years in this segment, Seta produces a line of products intended for animal nutrition. With an exclusive extraction process, we extract condensed tannins from the bark of the Black Acacia with more than 70% concentration, thus guaranteeing important benefits for animal metabolism.
