1. Introduction:

The privacy and security of personal data made available through the use of our digital platforms are a priority for Seta S.A. - Extrativa Tanino de Acácia, for Mita Ltda. and for the other affiliates, and this Privacy Policy determines the procedures adopted, informing how the processing of this data is carried out

You are the owner and the respective owner of your data, in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned law, and when accessing our digital platforms (website, institutional portal, mobile and web applications, etc.) and by agreeing to the terms of this Policy of Privacy, you are aware that Seta, Mita and other related companies, as data controllers, may carry out the respective treatment.

In addition to accessing the personal data you have made available on any of the digital platforms of Seta, Mita and other affiliates, your data may also be collected in other channels, as a way to enable some service provision, for legitimate interest, or to meet legal requirement.

Seta only collects the information necessary for the business itself, and these data and information are incorporated into the database and stored securely, as specified in this policy.

The collected database will not be shared, sold, assigned, transferred, informed or rented to third parties, as specified in this policy, and may only be accessed by duly authorized professionals, respecting the need and relevance for Seta, as well as protecting the interests and privacy of users.

Seta: Data controller, representing Seta S.A. - Extractiva Tanino de Acácia, Mita Ltda. and other affiliates;

Treatment of personal data: Refers to any and all actions to be taken with the personal data received, such as collection, processing, dissemination, access, storage, etc.;

Database: Set of personal data established in one or several locations, electronically or physically;

Log: Registration of activities of users or visitors carried out on digital platforms;

Holder: Natural person to whom the personal data that are the object of processing refer;

Controller: Natural or legal person, under public or private law, who are responsible for decisions regarding the processing of personal data;

Anonymization: Use of reasonable technical means available at the time of processing, whereby data loses the possibility of association, directly or indirectly, with an individual;

Consent: Free, informed and unambiguous expression by which the holder agrees with the processing of his/her personal data for a specific purpose;

Cookies: Files sent by the Portal server to the user's computer, in order to identify the computer and obtain access data, such as browsed pages or clicked links, thus allowing to customize the navigation of visitors on the Portal, according to your profile;

Portal: Electronic address http://www.setaoficial.com and its subdomains.

Web beacons: Programming lines in HTML pages whose purpose is to obtain details of the user's navigation, such as how long the site was open, which address was visited next, among others.


3. Data Subject Rights and Duties:

As provided for in current and applicable legislation, as a data subject, you may exercise your rights free of charge and at any time, such as:

  • Have access to your personal data;
  • Request information about your personal data;
  • Request correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
  • Request data deletion;
  • Revoke your consent;
  • Oppose the use of data in case of non-compliance with the provisions of legislation;
  • Obtain information about the possibility of not providing consent and about the consequences of this refusal;
  • Confirm the anonymization of data, when applicable, such as the dissemination of research results;

            On the other hand, it is up to you to keep your data up to date and inform Seta of any changes through the available means of communication.
 

4. How Seta treats Personal Data:

Seta, as data controller, handles your data in order to meet legal and legitimate interests, ensuring their security and maintaining an adequate information technology structure, following the principles of conduct and ethics established for the organization, instructing and carrying out the training of its employees.

 

5. Origin of collected data and identification:

            The data made available by you on digital platforms, by email or in physical form may be supplemented with other legitimate sources such as service providers, suppliers, public agencies, internet, social media, public records, etc., depending on the circumstances involved and the degree of demand, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Examples of data collection:

  • Registration data, such as name, identity, individual registration, address, telephone, email address, gender, date of birth, profession, marital status, nationality, place of birth, bank account;
  • Sensitive data such as biometrics (facial) and others, as per applicable legislation;
  • Personal data of children and adolescents: In general, data are collected from adults, however, if there is a need to collect and process data from children and adolescents, we will collect the express consent of a parent or legal guardian, before the start of the activity according to current legislation;
  • Behavioral data: Access logs, click data and other data collected including through technologies.

 

5.1 Participation in the Selection process:

            Please be advised that by sending your resume to the aforementioned addresses, you are automatically authorizing the company to make use of the information and personal data listed therein, freely and consciously granted, for the specific purpose of filling a professional position at Seta.

            Upon spontaneous submission, you also authorize the company to file this resume physically and/or electronically for a period of 12 (twelve) months, aware that after this period it will be permanently deleted.

 

6. Use of personal data:

            Seta uses your personal data to comply with internal rules and to comply with legal obligations, such as:

  • In the recruitment and selection of personnel, to identify candidates and new employees;
  • When hiring third parties, to identify companies and individuals that maintain some type of contractual relationship with Seta, such as providing services, buying and selling, leasing, among others;
  • In compliance with a legal obligation, such as the generation of payroll, tax collection and other control systems;
  • In digital access control, to identify and determine access to systems, applications and virtual platforms, as well as to manage online accounts, among others;
  • For on-site access control, through identification and biometric data collection;
  • For communication, in the dissemination of administrative information and statistics related to climate and customer satisfaction surveys, without personal identification, ensuring anonymity;
  • To investigate and detect fraud through traceability, when applicable, seeking solutions or damage limitation, in order to protect our services and operations, as well as the privacy or ownership of stored personal data;
  • To handle and resolve administrative, judicial or arbitration disputes, for regulatory and compliance investigations, to meet requirements from public bodies, and to enter into extrajudicial settlements.

 

7. Sharing and transferring data:

            The transfer of your personal data may be carried out in the following cases:

  • Among affiliated companies, to enable internal records and personnel management;
  • For the fulfillment of contractual obligations with third parties, such as a personal insurance company, health plan administrator and for permission to access the premises;
  • To authorities, government or third parties, to protect Seta's interests and in any type of judicial or administrative conflict;

 

8. Retention, storage and security of personal data:

            Data collected digitally are incorporated into Seta's database, remaining under its ownership and responsibility for the time necessary to comply with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations, for risk management, for the regular exercise of rights in administrative and judicial proceedings and arbitration, and for the other purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy, including to detect and prevent fraud or other illegal activities.

            The data will remain stored in a secure environment, as specified in the Corporate Policy on Information and Personal Data Security, and may only be accessed by authorized persons.

            We list some protection measures for your data, adopted by the company:

  • Protection against unauthorized access to company systems;
  • Restricted access to personal data;
  • Commitment to secrecy and confidentiality of users, when applicable;
  • Computer network security and control tools;
  • Mapping and control.

If, even so, a security incident occurs, related to personal data, Seta undertakes to adopt the necessary measures to remedy any consequences, ensuring due transparency.

 

9. Responsibilities of Seta and the User:

Seta adopts high security standards in order to avoid incidents, however, there is no electronic environment entirely free of risks. In this sense, Seta undertakes to:

  • Acting in data processing processes in accordance with the law;
  • Keep this Privacy Policy updated, observing its provisions and ensuring compliance;
  • Search for alternatives to update your digital platforms, keeping them able to protect the entire data processing process;

In case of security incidents that may generate relevant risk or damage to you or any of our users, we will communicate to those affected and the National Data Protection Authority about what happened and we will take the necessary measures.

The user, in turn, must take all necessary preventive measures to use the internet, including, but not limited to, the use of antivirus systems, personal access passwords and other technical and managerial measures in order to prevent failures, intrusions, interceptions or other inconveniences in accessing the tools made available by Seta, which will not be held responsible for any damage resulting from the user's sole fault.

 

10. Applicable law and venue:

This Privacy Policy will be interpreted in accordance with Brazilian legislation, in the Portuguese language, and the Forum of the District of Estância Velha, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, will be elected to settle any supervening dispute, question or doubt, with express waiver of any other, however privileged it may be.

If you no longer use the services offered by the portal, Seta may, for auditing and rights preservation purposes, keep the record of your data and information, for a maximum period of 5 (five) years, with the option of deleting it. them definitely at your convenience.

Whenever necessary, this Privacy Policy may be amended without prior notice and will be kept up to date on this website.
