What is the most assertive treatment for my WTP/ETE?

The treatment of water, industrial effluents, and domestic sewage is being modified and improved every day, through new techniques, products, and equipment developed for the sector, in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and facilitate the operation.

However, many companies still have deficient stations, with little room for expansion, or even without investment conditions.

Regardless of the case, whether it is an old or modern WTP/ETE, the process flow and the products applied in the treatment can be the key point to obtain the desired efficiency and cost reduction, influencing the effluent's final result.

Before defining the best flow or product, some parameters should be surveyed, such as: water or effluent origin to be treated, input pH, desired output pH, organic load, input flow, volume of tanks available for treatment, retention time of the ponds (if any), available equipment, among others.

After obtaining this data, it is important to perform a jar-test on the water or effluent, testing different coagulants, dosages, pHs, and the need or not for other auxiliary products in the treatment. This is the only way to identify if the treatment applied is really being assertive and is ideal for your company.
