Acquapol - Natural coagulant that is safe to the environment and to living beings.

Acquapol - Natural coagulant that is safe to the environment and to living beings.

Acquapol is a high performance natural coagulant, 100% biodegradable, non-toxic, and free of heavy metals. What does this mean in practice?

To ensure the biodegradability of a product, a controlled test is performed, where the evolution of CO2 in the medium is measured in 28 days and if the consumption reaches 60% in this period, the sample is considered biodegradable. Acquapol reached 100% CO2 evolution in 12 days, so it is 100% biodegradable. This fact means that, in case of a leak, there is no danger of permanent contamination to the environment, fauna and flora.

With regard to toxicity, several laws and resolutions in Brazil and worldwide, regulate and require the analysis of toxicity in products for use in water and wastewater treatment. This analysis is used to evaluate the inherent capacity of a given sample to produce deleterious effects on test organisms on three trophic levels: algae, fish, and crustaceans. Acquapol meets the limits established in these tests, and is not considered a toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, or teratogenic substance.

Another relevant factor that is controlled in several countries is the residual contaminants left in the water or treated effluent, through the classification of bodies of water and environmental guidelines for their framing, for parameters such as iron and aluminum. Acquapol, for being a natural coagulant free of metallic salts, is the most indicated to meet the parameters imposed in these resolutions.

Therefore, by using the natural coagulants of the Acquapol line, you are contributing with the safety of the environment and of the living beings, besides obtaining a high performance water and effluent treatment that meets the existing regulations and legislations in Brazil and in the world.
