Sustainable Sludge?

Sustainable Sludge?

Yes!

With the use of products from the Acquapol line, it is possible to generate a biodegradable sludge in the treatment of water and effluents in your company.

The sludge generated, when classified as Class II - biodegradable, can be treated and sent to sustainable destinations, cooperating with the environment and people. In addition, it can become a smart and advantageous strategy for the company.

The most appropriate destination for the sludge will depend on its chemical characterization and the type of treatment involved in the process. Some parameters should be evaluated to define its destination, such as: nutrients, pH, alkalinity, possible heavy metals and calorific value of this sludge.

If your company generates large amounts of waste, it is interesting to evaluate a treatment that is economically viable, environmentally correct and safe for human health.

Today, in Brazil, landfill disposal is still the most used, even if it is harmful to the environment and, after all, much more expensive. However, there are sustainable and more viable alternatives that Brazilian companies can adopt, among which we highlight:

Application of the sludge in agricultural soil, cultivation of commercial grass and/or composting: for this purpose, there is an improvement in the chemical, physical and biological characteristics of the soil, due to the fertilizing properties present in the sludge, such as nutrients. With the application of sludge, there is also an increase in water retention in the soil.

By using coagulants from the Acquapol line in the treatment of water and effluents, we managed to generate a final residue free of heavy metals, making it biodegradable and without impacting the environment.
