SETA´s Sustainable Vision
Since 1941, uniting generations and respecting life.

In 1941, to meet the growing demand of the local tanning industry, the Sociedade Extrativa Tanino de Acácia, better known as SETA, was created. Headquartered in Estância Velha, in southern Brazil, the company is naturally connected to environmental issues through the production of natural tannins and polyphenols, extracted from an exclusive and innovative process. In line with strict standards of social, environmental and economic responsibility, the company believes that sustainability is a set of actions that are mostly intangible, but of paramount importance for maintaining the environment, society and business.

With a positive attitude, more than adding value to the product, SETA works to be a multiplier of sustainable awareness through an internal environmental awareness committee formed by employees who are distributed across all sectors of the company. They are trained to identify possible risk situations and adaptation needs and encourage this awareness inside and outside the company, directly impacting the community. Through events such as World Environment Week and World Water Day, it promotes lectures and activities to employees and the community. SETA also supports environmental projects, programs for production optimization, reuse of inputs and integrated environmental management.
