Cost reduction is one of the main challenges when it comes to processes applied in water and effluent treatment in different sectors of the industry, where the search for optimized dosages, elimination of chemical products, increased production capacity, less waste generation, ease in operation and better results are constantly on the agenda.
Acquapol is a biodegradable product, free of metals and non-toxic to the environment and people, which adds numerous benefits to its application in addition to cost reduction:
Reduction or elimination of chemicals for pH adjustments, such as soda, acids, lime. Acquapol is a natural coagulant, so it does not react with the hydroxyls present in the effluent, and does not interfere with the pH of the medium. In addition to acting across a wide pH range (4.5 to 9.5), facilitating operation in physical-chemical treatment, even with pH fluctuations;
Acquapol acts as a coagulation aid, providing faster and more compact floc formation, increasing the speed of decantation or flotation, as well as the production capacity of the ETA/ETE;
The reduction in the use of chemical products is proportional to the generation of waste, that is, it generates a smaller volume of sludge, more compacted, with better drainage, consequently lower transportation and disposal costs;
Acquapol also has anti-corrosion characteristics, so its use does not damage equipment, avoiding maintenance and replacement costs.
Adding up all these benefits we have what we call TCO – Total Operational Costs, which must be considered when calculating the cost per m³ of water or effluent treated. These costs are very important and relevant overall.
